Under house excavation
Queensland homes
In many instances, the space under a house is a valuable resource that is wasted. These days a site must be perfectly flat to accommodate a concrete slab, but in the old days of house building typically earth under a house was removed just enough to cater to the height of the stumps upon which it was to be built. This resulted in many Queensland homes built on timber stumps having mountains of unlevel earth between and around the stumps thus making the space unusable.

Benefits
Levelling the earth under your home has many benefits.
- Provides better natural cross flow ventilation to the home which is particularly good during our long hot summers
- Lengthens the life of your stumps and the building in general by minimising condensation formation which can promote fungal growth or mould and also termites as they are attracted to moist areas. In our hot humid climate, mould, mildew, dry rot, and damp can occur where proper ventilation is not provided.
- Improve air quality - poor ventilation is most often the cause of bad indoor air quality, building up pollutants, moisture, irritants, and odours.
- Saves on electricity costs incurred for heating and cooling
